Podgorica

From interesting architecture, to an exciting nightlife, an ample amount of green space, and plenty of historical sights, Podgorica is a European destination that you need to visit when you’re in Montenegro.

The capital of Montenegro sits at the confluence of two rivers. West of the Morača is the business district, while the Ribnica divides the eastern side in two. The south side is Stara Varoš, the old Ottoman town, while north is Nova Varoš, home to a lively mixture of shops and bars. Its heart is Trg Republike, the main square.

Golubovci Airport, serves Podgorica and the surrounding region. It is one of two international airports in Montenegro, the other being Tivat Airport. The airport is situated 11 km south of central Podgorica. Alternative airports are Dubrovnik, Croatia (150km distance) and Belgrade, Serbia (450km distance)
