Belgrade

Belgrade is the capital of Serbia. It is situated at the confluence of the Danube and the Sava rivers. Its most significant landmark is the Beogradska Tvrđava, an imposing fortress  that is a testament to the city’s strategic importance to the Roman, Byzantine, Ottoman, Serbian and Austrian empires.
'Belgrade' literally translates as 'White City', but Serbia's colorful capital is red hot.
The city boasts some of the best historic sites, food, sports, music and night life in the Balkans.
